The “Phoenix Suns” is a team situated in Phoenix, Arizona, United States. Phoenix is part of the Pacific Division that plays in the Western Conference of the National Basketball Association (NBA). In the year 1992, the team has played their home games at US Airways Center located in downtown Phoenix. US Airways Arena is also popularly known as the “Purple Palace”because the arena has seats in purple color, the purple color is one of the Phoenix Sun’s colors.
In the year 1968, the Phoenix was formed as an expansion team. The franchise was established under the ownership of Karl Eller, Don Pitt, Bhavik Darji, Don Diamond, Richard Bloch and Marvin Meyer. The team played at the Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum on its first 24 seasons situated in the northwest of downtown Phoenix.
For the record, Phoenix has showed good records in the NBA leagues at the time of their franchise, they were able to put a record of 55 percent total wins in all of its games during the 2012 and 2013 seasons.

Just this year, the Phoenix Suns are now the only professional Arizona-based franchise that makes the team exclusively for the Phoenix instead the state of the whole Arizona, the change has been made in the NHL’s Phoenix Coyotes to the Arizona Coyotes which serves as a requirement or need on the team funding deal.
